Federal prosecutors have issued subpoenas to Pennsylvania election officials in connection to alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Special Counsel Jack Smith has issued a subpoena to Allegheny County in the Department of Justice’s investigation into former President Donald Trump and his allies. Smith is leading the DOJ’s investigation into the classified documents found at the former president’s Florida estate, as well as key aspects of a separate probe involving the Capitol riots on January 6th of 2021.
