Project Restore has granted nearly $1.5 million in funding to 17 Allegany County businesses. The program, a state economic recovery initiative, provides financial incentives for small businesses to revitalize vacant retail and commercial space. Among the award recipients were the Manhattan Building, D’Atri Subs, Lost Mountain BBQ, Historic Main Street, Frostburg, Sand Springs Saloon, and Aeon Technologies. One business in Garrett County also received funding. The latest application round received almost 800 applications; about 2,520 jobs will be created by the businesses awarded funding.
