OAKLAND MAN FOUND GUILTY IN CAPITOL BREACH CASE

A Western Maryland man has been found guilty for his role in the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.  Fifty-nine-year-old Daniel Egtvedt of Oakland was convicted on four felony offenses including assaulting, resisting or impeding officers and obstruction of an official proceeding.  In addition, he was found guilty on three misdemeanor counts.  Egtvedt forcibly entered the Capitol, accused police of being traitors and joined someone’s live-stream to call for others to come to the Capitol. After being removed from the building, Egtvedt remained on Capitol grounds and joined another live-stream urging more people to come to the Capitol.  He will be sentenced in March.
