PA. COUNTY JUDGE URGES CHANGE TO STATE’S RECOUNT LAWS

A common pleas judge says Pennsylvania laws that allow vote recounts need to be changed. Judge Harry Smail Junior’s comments came in remarks to state orders that have allowed precinct ballots in six counties to be recounted. Most of the challenges reportedly have been launched by Republicans who claim voting machines were manipulated. Judge Smail wrote that demands for recounts should be backed up by specific claims of error or fraud.
