FULLY-FUNDED FEDERAL JOB ALLOWS OTHER STATE PROJECTS TO MOVE FORWARD

U.S. Senator Bob Casey says a fully-funded highway project in central Pennsylvania will allow other projects in the state to move forward. He announced the 69-million-dollar federal grant for the Central Susquehanna Valley Thruway Monday. The bypass runs along U.S. Route 15 near the Shamokin Dam. When finished, it will provide a 12-mile bypass of Hummels Wharf and Shamokin Dam. The cost of the project is estimated to be 900-milliion dollars; the targeted completion date has been set for 2027.
