Technically there is a not an official ban of the Chinese-owned app TikTok on West Virginia- owned computer equipment, but there is a block. Governor Justice’s response to Senate Majority Whip Ryan Weld’s request for a banning of the app fell just short. The governor says he shares the cyber security concerns of Weld, and there are already measures in place to keep the state-owned phones and computers safe.
