A water line at the Garrett County Community Action Agency broke late Christmas Eve, causing major flooding to parts of the building on East Center Street in Oakland. Offices there will be closed through Tuesday, January 2nd for cleanup and repairs. Mary Browning, Crellin, Friendsville, Grantsville, Kitzmiller, and Swanton senior centers will be closed and congregate meals will not be served. Essential services and operations will continue, however. GCCAC staff will be teleworking and available by appointment only. Garrett Transit Services, Meals on Wheels, and the Senior Health and Fitness Club at the CARC will operate as normal.
