COVID-19 CASES FALL, HOSPITALIZATIONS RISE OVER HOLIDAY WEEKEND IN WV

The number of active cases of COVID-19 fell while hospitalizations due to the virus increased over the holiday weekend in West Virginia.  The number of cases dropped by 300 over the extended holiday weekend.  Hospitalizations increased to 264 before the weekend began, up from 40 heading into the weekend.  There were no COVID-related deaths recorded over the holiday weekend.
