Maryland leaders are wishing U.S. Congressman Jamie Raskin well as he battles a serious but curable form of lymphoma. The Montgomery County Democrat announced his cancer diagnosis Wednesday saying he expects to work while receiving treatment on an outpatient basis. Governor Larry Hogan says as someone who has beaten cancer in the past, he’s sending heartfelt prayers and best wishes to Raskin and his family. The governor says he’s relieved to hear that the congressman and his doctors are optimistic about the prognosis. Governor-elect Wes Moore says he’s praying for Raskin and knows he will overcome the challenge and U.S. Senator Ben Cardin is wishing the congressman nothing but the best.
