BALTIMORE RECORDED 333 HOMICIDES IN 2022

Baltimore Police say the city recorded 333 homicides in 2022.  That is five fewer than in 2021. There were also fewer non-fatal shootings last year at 684 compared to 722 the year before. Mayor Brandon Scott says there has been significant progress in the effort to combat gun violence.  Mayor Scott says there was a 19-percent increase in gun arrests last year along with the seizure of more than 26-hundred weapons including 477 ghost guns.
