Members of the Cumberland Mayor and City Council were sworn into office yesterday at the City Hall Rotunda. Newcomer Jim Furstenberg, incumbent “Rock” Cioni and Mayor Ray Morriss received the oath from Dawne Lindsey, Clerk of the Allegany County Circuit Court. During his remarks, Mayor Morriss noted the accomplishments of the last four years, ongoing projects-such as the replacement of the West Side bridges-and housing, including Allegany Junction, a 40-unit building at the site of the former East Side School.
