MARYLAND ATTORNEY GENERAL TAKES OFFICE

Maryland’s new attorney general has been sworn-in.  Governor Larry Hogan administered the oath of office for Anthony Brown, who is now the state’s 47th attorney general and the first Black person to assume the role of Maryland’s top law enforcement officer.  Brown most recently was a representative in Maryland’s 4th congressional district and is a former Army colonel, Maryland delegate and lieutenant governor.  He lost to Hogan in the 2014 governor’s race.
