RIPLEY MAN SENTENCED FOR KILLING INFANT DAUGHTER

Ripley, West Virginia resident Jeffrey Todd Hoskins was sentenced to multiple years in prison, after killing his infant daughter more than four years ago. Prosecutors had sought a first degree murder conviction. Hoskins was sentenced to 15 years to life on a charge of abuse resulting in death, 1 to 5 years for strangulation and one year for involuntary manslaughter. The prison time will run consecutively. He was ordered to 50 years supervised release, and he was given more than 3.5 years already behind bars, as he was arrested in October, 2018. The 6-month old child was on life support for more than a year before she died.
