A bill that would increase highway construction funding gets the approval of the Pennsylvania Senate Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. SB-7 would essentially re-pay the Road Fund from the state’s General Fund the sales tax DOH pays for construction materials. In fiscal year 2024, that would mean nearly an additional 24-million dollars for highway projects.
