CITY WANTS NEW FRANCHISE AGREEMENT WITH BREEZELINE

Responding to complaints and frustrations with the city’s internet, phone and streaming provider, Breezeline, the Cumberland Mayor and City Council is looking for a new franchise agreement. The city and Breezeline are currently operating on terms, outlined in a contract that expired at the end of 2020. Complaints have ranged from slow phone response times to the closing of the local office where customers could complete transactions. Mayor Ray Morriss says re-establishing a local office is a priority for him.
