Newly sworn-in Governor Wes Moore is already having an impact on Western Maryland…in particular, the town of Lonaconing. Last week, there was a malfunction at the Midland-Lonaconing water system, which caused a boil water notice for about 1700 residents of the area. Mayor Jack Coburn talked to Governor Moore on Monday, with the Governor promising that help would be on the way. Along with that, U.S. Representative David Trone’s office has also offered its assistance. As of yesterday, water has been restored to customers, but the boil water notice remains in effect.
