A boil water warning for customers of the Midland-Lonaconing water system has been extended for another 7 to 10 days. The Maryland Department of the Environment issued the warning in mid-January; Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn asked for help from the state, and by January 25th, the Maryland Department of the Environment took control of the system.
