MAN CONVICTED IN ASSAULT OF INFANT

Bedford County resident Jensun Claycomb has been convicted of assaulting an infant child in 2020, and is scheduled to be sentenced on March 24th. Claycomb is accused of shaking the child, causing her to go into cardiac and respiratory arrest. According to investigators, the baby had been “violently” shaken several times, prior to the incident in September of 2020. The child spent five days in the ICU, and later had to have brain surgery to relieve pressure that had build up in her head as a result of the assault.
