PROPOSED BILL WOULD ELIMINATE SMOKING IN PA. CASINOS

A state representative is proposing that smoking no longer be allowed in any of Pennsylvania’s casinos. The gambling halls are one of the last places people can smoke under the current state Clean Indoor Air Act.  Democratic Representative Dan Frankel says he’s co-sponsoring the planned measure to protect workers from second-hand smoke. The proposed ban would also include e-cigarettes and would allow local governments to enact smoke-free ordinances. If passage goes smoothly, it could go into effect this year.
