New legislation may change the way school boards operate in Pennsylvania. Democratic State Representative Joe Webster’s proposals would repeal school board members not being able to be paid and would increase the number of training hours required. The bill also would provide free tuition at Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education institutions for specified courses related to being a school board member.
