FEDS ARREST PAIR IN NATIONAL SECURITY CASE

A Baltimore County woman and a man from Florida are facing federal charges in what’s described as a national security case out of Baltimore.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office of Maryland announced Sara Beth Clendaniel of Catonsville and Brandon Russell of Orlando planned to shoot up electrical substations in Norrisville, Reisterstown and Perry Hall.  The FBI says the pair conspired to “inflict maximum harm” on the power grid, a key component of the nation’s infrastructure.  Investigators say the two were motivated by racially extremist views.  They are scheduled to make their first court appearances this afternoon in Maryland and Florida.
