BEDFORD COUNTY D.A. RESIGNS; FORMER D.A. TO TAKE HER PLACE

Bedford County District Attorney Leslie Childers-Potts has resigned and former D.A. Dwight Diehl has been sworn into that office. The Bedford County D.A.’s office has faced scrutiny in recent months, following several mistrials, and the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General also took over some of Bedford County’s cases, due to a short staffing issue. For his part, Diehl says he will only remain in that capacity until January of next year, and that he is not interested in politics.
