Prominent business owner and huge Fort Hill Sentinel backer Dave Christopher passed away Friday afternoon. Dave took over the family business, the Christopher Photo Lab, in 1976, and retired in 2008, leaving it to his sons. He also served on a number of Fort Hill committees, and held a record of attending 706 consecutive Fort Hill football games spanning 63 years. Friends are being received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home on Virginia Avenue Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Smallwood Street. Internment will be in the David Memorial Cemetery.
