Frostburg is looking into equipment upgrades for Tasers, computer equipment and the purchase of body cameras for its police department. There have been issues with the Tasers, including one that fired for no reason. Computers in police cruisers are 6 to 10 years old, and plans are to equip officers with body cameras by 2025. The issues will be up for further discussion at Thursday’s regular Mayor and Council meeting.
