JUDGE UPHOLDS ETHICS VIOLATION AGAINST NICK MOSBY

A Baltimore judge is allowing an ethics case against City Council President Nick Mosby to proceed.  Last year, the city Ethics Board ruled that Mosby illegally solicited donations for a legal defense fund for himself and his wife, then-State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.  Mosby challenged the ruling, but the judge on Monday upheld two of three ethics violations against him.  The Baltimore Sun reports the judge said the evidence was “weak” that Mosby took gifts from so-called “controlled donors.”
