SIX DEFENDANTS INDICTED IN DRUG TRAFFICKING CONSPIRACY

Six defendants have been indicted in a nationwide drug trafficking conspiracy that spanned from Texas to Baltimore County, Maryland.  Authorities say the investigation led to the seizure of 15 kilos of cocaine, 400 grams of crack, ten firearms including two assault-style rifles and more than 493-thousand-dollars in drug proceeds. Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown says those indicted include two alleged kingpins and the couriers who trafficked the drugs from Houston to Baltimore, where they would be offloaded into a safehouse. Brown says disrupting the operation is a big step toward restoring peace and public safety.
