Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin have announced the Northern Panhandle will receive more than three-million dollars in federal housing funds. The money will be distributed to upgrade public housing projects and to helping families make the transition from renting to home ownership. The Housing Authority of the City of Huntington received a little more than two-million dollars from the fund and the Wheeling Housing Authority will receive a million-and-a-half dollars.
