High winds knocked out power to thousands in the region Saturday morning, and there are still some areas without power. Potomac Edison says it hopes to have service restored to those who still don’t have power sometime this afternoon and evening. One casualty of the high winds was the Frostburg Fire Department Station Number One on South Water Street. The south end of the structure was damaged. Firefighters, including the county’s structural collapse team responded around 8:50 a.m. Saturday.
