LAWMAKERS PROPOSE LEGAL MARIJUANA, SELLING THROUGH STATE LIQUOR STORES

Several state lawmakers will soon submit three different  proposals to legalize recreational marijuana and let the state reap tax benefits from the industry. Analysts say legalized pot is a potential billion-dollar industry for the state. Two co-sponsorship memos circulating in both the House and Senate propose selling marijuana in state-owned liquor stores and restricting its possession and use to adults who are at least 21. Another measure would provide social justice to those with low-level marijuana convictions.
