Former Oak Ridge Boys Member Dies

Former gospel musician and lead singer of the iconic country group, the Oak Ridge Boys, has passed away. Calvin Newton died on March 3rd. He was laid to rest in Georgia on Monday, and his former bandmates were there to perform. Newton was the quartet’s lead singer for three years in the 1950s. He’s a member of the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Tri State Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame.
