The Patrol Officer Cassie Marie Johnson Memorial Act was signed into law yesterday in West Virginia. Governor Justice was joined by the mother of Cassie Johnson at the signing ceremony. The new law will allow courts to give a minimum sentence of 15 years to anyone convicted of killing a first responder.
