JUDGE APPROVES A.G.’S REDACTED REPORT ON ARCHDIOCESE SEX ABUSE

A judge has approved the Maryland Attorney General’s redacted report detailing decades of child sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. The judge’s ruling now clears the way for Attorney General Anthony Brown’s office to publicly release the report. Some names in the report will be released but others will remain anonymous and the AG’s office says it will work to complete the court-ordered redactions and release the report as expeditiously as possible. The 456-page report was compiled after a four-year investigation on the alleged abuse of more than 600 children and young adults members of the clergy and other church officials. The Baltimore Archdiocese includes the city, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Howard and Washington counties.
