REPORTS: COUNCIL PRESIDENT NICK MOSBY TO SEEK RE-ELECTION

Media reports say Baltimore City Council President Nick Mosby plans to seek reelection as council president.  Last month, a Baltimore City Circuit Court judge upheld two of three findings by the city’s ethics board but threw out the most notable charge — that of accepting money from contractors looking to work with City Hall.  Both WBAL Eleven News and the Baltimore Banner confirm Mosby’s intent to seek reelection.  Mosby says his own battle with the ethics charges and his wife’s court fight point to his ability to stay focused and do the job.  Former top prosecutor for the city — Marilyn Mosby — goes on trial this fall over charges she made false claims on a mortgage application.
