A fire at a strip mall in Oakland caused about $200,000 in damage to two businesses Wednesday night. Investigators believe the fire began in a storage room of either Midway Discount Beverages or the Rite Price Quick Stop, located on Weber Road. About 40 volunteer firefighters brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes. The cause remains under investigation.
