A fire at a Chestnut Street residence in Frostburg this past weekend caused about $20,000 in property damage. The cause has been traced to the malfunction of an electrical stove. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office says 28 firefighters from Frostburg and surrounding companies responded and brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes. Two dogs inside the residents were able to run from the property. Smoke detectors activated when the fire broke out.
