FETTERMAN DESCRIBED DEPRESSION IN INTERVIEW

Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman says he was indifferent on the subject of whether he lived or died.  The Pennsylvania Senator and former Braddock mayor described some of the feelings he experienced while struggling with depression in an interview with Jane Pauley aired Sunday morning on CBS.  The Democratic lawmaker, elected to the Senate this past November, says he never had any desire for self harm but that if someone had told him that he had just 18 months to live, he would have simply said ‘well, that’s how things go.’  Fetterman was recently discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after being treated extensively for depression and is expected to return to work in the Senate later this month.
