COURT OKS RELEASE OF CLERGY ABUSE REPORT

A judge is approving the release of the Maryland Attorney General Office’s report detailing child sexual abuse in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.  The AG’s office says the redacted report will be posted to its website on Wednesday afternoon.  The 456-page report was completed after a four-year investigation of alleged abuse by Catholic clergy and other officials of more than 600 children and young adults over an 80-year period dating back to the 1940s.  In a message to parishioners on Monday night, Baltimore Archbishop William Lori warned the report will be “devastating to read.”
