Cumberland resident Charles George Doonis was charged with two counts of second-degree assault following an incident in the 800-block of Columbia Avenue. A victim told police that Doonis had intentionally shut their arm in a door during an argument. As Doonis was placed under arrest, he allegedly spat at the victim. He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center before receiving an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
