The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in Maryland is on a steady decline. As of Sunday, there were 129 coronavirus patients in Maryland hospitals, which marks a decrease of 21 patients from Sunday and the lowest number since July of 2021. Overall, the state added nearly 200 cases to its running total and three new virus-related deaths. The state’s seven-day testing positivity rate stands at three-point-73-percent after it had risen to over 15-percent at the beginning of the year.
