COVID DISASTER DECLARATION ENDING SOON IN WEST VIRGINIA

West Virginia’s COVID-19 pandemic federal disaster declaration will come to an end in about a month.  Some who qualified for Medicaid or CHIP during the pandemic may lose their federal assistance come May 11th.  Vaccinations against serious illness from COVID are still available. Since the start of the pandemic more than three years ago, eight-thousand West Virginians lost their lives because of COVID.
