Allegany College of Maryland will name its baseball field after legendary coach Steve Bazarnic. A ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 23rd at 11:30 A.M. Following that, ACM will play a 12 noon doubleheader against Anne Arundel Community College. The public is invited to attend. Bazarnic, who retired in 2019, came to Cumberland in 1971 from State College, Pennsylvania. Over the years, Bazarnic’s teams have won more than 1400 games. His teams have produced several players who have spent time in the Major Leagues, including John Kruk, Stan Belinda, and Steve Kline.
