MD. STATE POLICE SUPERINTENDENT SWORN-IN

The new superintendent of Maryland State Police has been sworn-in by Governor Wes Moore. Lieutenant Colonel Roland Butler, Jr. is the first African American to lead the agency. Governor Moore says Superintendent Butler brings exemplary service to the role, with a career spanning three decades. The governor is confident that Butler will work in partnership to reform the department by increasing morale, building trust and recruiting and retaining the best and brightest the state has to offer.
