STATE LAWMAKERS PROPOSE CHANGES TO VEHICLE REGISTRATION CARDS

A Democratic state lawmaker from Bucks County says she plans to introduce a bill that would allow for digital vehicle registration cards. In a memo to state lawmakers to gather co-sponsors, Representative Tina Davis says the bill would allow drivers to carry either a digital or paper copy of their registration card. She believes digital cards would make traffic stops more efficient when drivers have to give their information to an officer. New Jersey has had digital registrations for the past two years.
