Leaders across the state are doing everything in their power to lower the number of traffic fatalities in 2023. New data was released yesterday revealing that Maryland lost 563 lives all of last year on state roads. Transportation Secretary Paul Wiedefeld joined MDOT MVA Administrator Chrissy Nizer yesterday to discuss the matter. New Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. Roland Butler was also in attendance. Officials introduced a new crash dashboard which is available to the public online.
