The state of Maryland has announced three-million-dollars in funding for nine developers working in historically disinvested communities. The money from the Emerging Developer Fund will be used to create or preserve nearly 500 affordable housing units in Baltimore and Chestertown. The governor’s office says the awards will also help to promote equity and inclusion in affordable housing development.
