PA. SCHOOLS GET POOR GRADES IN NEW POLL

Pennsylvania public schools are not getting very high marks in a new poll by Franklin & Marshall College.  The survey shows more than half of registered voters give the state’s public schools a grade of C or lower. The poll also asked respondents whether they believed their local district has enough funding to properly prepare students for college and the workplace; about 47 percent said yes. The responses were from nearly 650 registered Pennsylvania voters, including 90 independents, about 290 Democrats and nearly 270 Republicans.
