HALF A MILLION IN REVENUE FOR PA. GAMBLING INDUSTRIES

The Pennsylvania state gaming control board says total monthly gambling revenues topped half a billion dollars in March.  Officials say that’s the largest amount taken in since the state legalized gambling over 15 years ago. They say the more than 515-million-dollars received translates into over 212-million-dollars in tax revenue for the state.  They say the high volume of gambling was fueled by March Madness sports betting for the NCAA basketball tournament.
