There were no injuries in a fire just before dawn yesterday in a West Piedmont Street home in Keyser. The fire spread to an adjacent home before it was brought under control. There were reports of an explosion in one of the buildings, before extending to the second structure. Before that, firefighters in the Cumberland area responded to a fire at an apartment building at 106 West Third Street; all residents exited safely and there were no injuries. That call was received around 2:15 a.m.
