SENATE CONFIRMS THREE NEW STATE CABINET LEVEL SECRETARIES

Pennsylvania state Senators have approved the appointment of three people to secretary-level positions within the Shapiro administration. Mike Carroll was confirmed as the new transportation secretary and says his priorities will include increasing safety in expanding passenger rail service between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. The state Senate Wednesday also confirmed Governor Shapiro’s nominations of Jason Kavulich as Secretary of Aging and Rick Siger as Secretary of Community and Economic Development.
