Survivors of priest sexual abuse are reacting to reports identifying church officials whose names were redacted in the Maryland attorney general’s report on child sex abuse in Archdiocese of Baltimore. The group Survivors of Those Abused by Priests says the five officials should be removed from the active ministry. They’re also calling on Archbishop William Lori to resign over claims he has not been fully transparent in disclosing names of alleged abusers. SNAP also wants the church to identify recent behavior that protects abusers and discourages victims from coming forward.
